Does your company load & unload the truck in long distance moves?

We are a cross between long distance truck rental and full service moving in that you provide the loading and unloading. We provide all of the transportation. That being said, you can follow the loading/unloading link at the top of the homepage to get 3rd party providers to provide that service.

We are trying to figure out how to ship some of my recently deceased mother's effects (furniture, paintings, valuable dishes, etc.) from her last home in Denver to Wellesley MA. We will be sorting out the effects around January 11-14. Hard to know exactly what will go where until we do that, or how many feet it will take in a truck. How could we get an estimate from you?

I need a long distance truck rental from Miami, FL to Puyallup, WA. How do you handle that kind of move? I am moving a one bedroom apartment.

We are not exactly a moving truck rental company. Instead, we rent you space on a fully-equipped moving van (tractor-trailer). That comes with the driver and door-to-door transport. Each moving truck is equipped with furniture blankets, loading ramps, and tie-down straps. The truck is brought out to your home, you load your stuff into your own private compartment on the truck. We then transport it to your new home where you unload when it gets there.

Yes, we piggyback shipments, meaning that there is more than one order on a moving van. However, each person gets a private compartment separated by move-able plywood walls. Sharing a moving truck is an excellent way to keep the pricing within reason for your move.

I need to ship my car and my furniture from Chicago to Houston, can a single vendor do that or I have to look for different vendors?

You can move your car on the same moving van with your furniture, however, there is a premium associated with that. It may be cheaper (although not as easy) to find a separate car carrier to move your car.

What if I use less space than I book? Do you have an under usage credit?

If you use a self-service mover, many of them have the option of only paying for the space that you use. Full service movers normally charge by weight. Make sure that you are given a binding moving quote by whomever you use. You don't want any ugly surprises on moving day.
