> Ask A Question > Add A Comment from ZOILO L. in NE - May 12, 2008 I would like to ask if Movex offers moving within state? Zoilo,
Sorry, Movex only offers service on state-to-state moves.
Making Moving Easier, Movex from Myra C. in UT - May 11, 2008 Does your quote include the ferry cost to get onto the island? Myra,
Movex only services direct points. If your move requires a ferry, that charge would, in fact, be extra. Also, Movex moving vans are often too large for ferrys. You may need to rent a smaller truck that is allowed on the ferry and shuttle the goods. You will need to speak to one of our relocation specialists for all of the details as that is a more complicated service to provide.
Making Moving Easier (and this is a tough move!), MOVEX from k G. in TX - May 11, 2008 what if you run out of space on moving day? K,
We recommend that you order an extra couple of feet so that this does not happen. If you do need extra space on moving day (and it is available), the cost per foot of truck is equal to what you paid per foot for the rest of the moving truck.
For example. If you order 10ft of truck space for $1200. The cost per extra foot of space would be $120.
Making Moving Easier, Movex from Stephen P. in MN - May 6, 2008 Do your trucks have air ride trailers? Stephen,
Yes, Movex offers premier relocation services on air-ride moving trailers.
Making Moving Easier, Movex from Allen T. in MN - April 6, 2008 Can I move a motorcycle in the truck with my home goods? If so, do you provide a special motorcycle chock/adaptor to hold the bike in palce? Allen,
You can certainly put your motorcycle on the moving truck. We provide furniture blankets, loading ramps, and tie-down straps..however, we do not provide special motorcycle chocks. I would suggest going to your local motorcycle dealer and purchasing a set so that your bike won't fall over during transit.
Making Moving Easier, Movex from Sarah W. in NH - March 31, 2008 Since I am only moving one-way and I do not have a car, would I be able to ride with the driver? Sarah,
Unfortunately, we have a "no-riders" policy. There are insurance liability issues with transporting passengers.
Making Moving Easier, Movex from Charles B. in AK - March 23, 2008 What are your moving boundaries? Also what are the minimal load size that you require to move? Thank you Charles,
We can provide moving truck service to anywhere in the contiguous United States. We do have some small shipping options for International moves (or, in your case, moves to Alaska), but these opportunities are limited to a "boxes only" shipping service. If you would like to discuss options, call us at 800-876-6839 and ask to speak with Kim. She handles all of our small, overseas shipments.
Making Moving Easier, Movex from Georgia V. in UT - March 13, 2008 Hi! We are moving to Canada, Do you Guys can help us? Or you work only within the United States.? Georgia,
Sorry, Movex is only available for service in the United States. Homeland security had multiple issues with international "self-load" shipments.
Making Moving Easier, Movex from Chris H. in TX - February 20, 2008 Do you move motorcyles as well? I've typically moved it in the same compartment as the furniture and boxes by securely strapping it to the side of the (rented) moving truck using bagged pillows/blankets as a filler and spacer. Chris,
Movex does move motorcycles. It would go in the moving truck just like you mention above. Movex will also provide, padding and straps to secure your bike. We are the only self-service mover that provides air-ride trucks with furniture pads, loading ramps, and a dolly included for no extra charge.
