I am moving from Kerrville, TX to Salmon, ID. In Salmon the property is 10 miles out of town and a semi cannot get in the driveway to unload. A shuttle truck would be needed to bring the furniture in from town. Do you have a shuttle truck that could make it into the property ?

We do not shuttle service in Salmon, Idaho. We could take the truck to where the pavement ends, but you would be responsible for providing the shuttle service onto the property.

How is my belongings secured in transit? Can I provide a lock to use while my belongings are in transportation?

Your security is our primary concern. Each customer has a private space on the truck that is seperated by wooden dividers. The driver that picks up your shipment is the driver that delivers it so there is accountability throughout the process. You can put your lock on the truck, but the driver will need a key in case of emergency.

I am moving from Escondido, CA to Orlando Fl, how do I weigh my furniture and boxes to be loaded on your truck.

One of the best things about Movex is that we do not charge by the weight of the shipment. We charge by the foot. The trucks are 8ft wide and 9ft tall. You can get anywhere from 4ft to 53ft of space with those dimensions. Each customer gets a private area on the truck separated by plywood bulkheads.

Hi, Do you rent the quick release bars (anchors) that go across the width of the truck in order to build shelving? Thank you!

The industry term for those is "Decking Bars". We generally have some on the trailers, but we do no offer those as a guaranteed part of the service. We have found that decking has a tendency to fall or shift causing more damage than it is worth.

We are moving from Naperville, IL to Raleigh, NC - as a single mother w/3 children I was wondering if it is possible to follow the moving truck to ensure we don't get lost? If so, how many days would it take to get there and how many stops on average do you think there would be?

The moving vans will probably be picking up other customers in route. So following the moving van is not going to be a practical option for you. I would recommend going to Mapquest.com. You can get detailed directions and maps to your new home there.
