Question to Movex

from michelle D in OH - Wednesday, June 15, 2011
We are doing a military PPM move from OH to TX. How long do we have to load/unload the truck? With only two of us, Im not sure we could get it done in a day.

Movex Response

Michelle,

The amount of time that you have to load depends on how much space you order on the truck. The more space you order, the longer you have to load. We allow more than ample time for your loading and unloading.

Question to Movex

from mary S in CA - Thursday, March 24, 2011
Hi, From the time you drop the truck off, how much time do you give us to load, and is there an extra charge if we need more time?

Movex Response

Mary,

We allow from 4 to 12 hours depending on the size of your shipment. If you would like the moving truck to stay longer than your allotted time, there is a nominal charge for it. Please ask your relocation specialist when you make your reservation.

Question to Movex

from jody L in CO - Saturday, January 29, 2011
is the truck dropped off and left for 24 hours to load? Or how does that work?

Movex Response

The driver generally waits while you load as there might be another customer's goods on board if you are sharing a truck (for smaller loads). If you need a truck overnight, you would need to make arrangements with one of our relocation specialists when you make your reservation. If you have other questions, please feel free to post them or call us at 800-876-6839.

the truck being 9' tall inside, how are we excepted to get boxes stacked that high? we need to use every bit of available space. do we bring in a ladder?

With Movex, the customer has control of the loading and unloading and the freedom to load how they choose.. So the space you order is yours to load as you wish. You can stack to the roof or you can load everything on the floor. It is your choice.

How long will we have to load up the truck? and unload? with containers you get roughly 1 month from door to door

Edwin,

The more space that you use on the truck, the longer you get to load. We have very generous guidelines for loading time so that you do not feel rushed or stressed in the process.

When the delivery is in route how do i track where my load is and when to expect the arrival so i can make sure iam there to unload.

Movex Response

Joseph,

Usually, by the time your shipment picks up, we will have all of the other orders scheduled on the truck and be able to give you a delivery date and time. We always give you plenty of notice so that you are not scrambling for help at the last minute.

Question to Movex

from Jaime E in CO - Saturday, August 14, 2010
I am concerned that 12 hours is not enough to load our truck. Is it possible to have your truck at our house house for 2 days?

Movex Response

You can have the truck for extra time if needed. We arrange service for you to have more than enough time to load for free. If you really need an extra day, there is a nominal charge.

Question to Movex

from Sue S in MI - Sunday, July 18, 2010
If I have a 48" range in New Jersey that I need to move to Michigan---it is stored at a business, where people would let you in, is wrapped and ready to be put on a truck..HOWEVER, I have people to help UNLOAD it on the delivery side, but would need someone who could load it on the pick-up side.....do you do that type of move? It is a 48" range, but not a whole household move?

Movex Response

Sue,

Movex only arranges the transportation part of the move. You would need to make arrangements to have someone load it into the truck. Sorry.

How long do you have to load everything?
