Question to Movex

from Sue S in MI - Sunday, July 18, 2010
If I have a 48" range in New Jersey that I need to move to Michigan---it is stored at a business, where people would let you in, is wrapped and ready to be put on a truck..HOWEVER, I have people to help UNLOAD it on the delivery side, but would need someone who could load it on the pick-up side.....do you do that type of move? It is a 48" range, but not a whole household move?

Movex Response

Sue,

Movex only arranges the transportation part of the move. You would need to make arrangements to have someone load it into the truck. Sorry.

Question to Movex

from Tracy D in MA - Sunday, July 18, 2010
How long do you have to load everything?

Movex Response

Loading time varies with how much space you order. The more space you order, the more time we allow. We allow ample time for all shipments, so you really don't need to worry about that.

How much time to we have to load the truck and unload?

Carrie,

It depends on how much space you choose. The more space you reserve on the van, the longer you have to load and unload. For specific times, please call our staff at 800-876-6839 and they will be happy to help you.

Question to Movex

from PAUL T in FL - Monday, May 31, 2010
Do you offer any horizontal partitions which would allow for top loading over an existing bottom load which will not support weight? Example: boat on bottom, but only 3 foot high, so would like to use the 7 foot above boat with items on a shelf or partition. Can this be done?

Movex Response

Paul,

75% of damage done to furniture on moving vans is done as result of improper decking. Therefore, we do not provide decking as part of our services.

Question to Movex

from Patricia C in NH - Wednesday, April 28, 2010
Once container is delivered how long do we have to unload

Movex Response

Patricia,

We actually bring out a moving van, not a container. We allow you plenty of time to get your goods loaded. The more space you reserve on the truck, the more time you get.

Your driver will have the space ready for you when the truck arrives. He will show you precisely what area you have to load in.

Question to Movex

from Narlo L in CA - Friday, January 29, 2010
How many days do you have to unload the truck once it has been delivered to your destination?

Movex Response

Narlo,

Loading and unloading time depends on how much space you have used on the truck. We do not leave the trucks overnight. So we generally expect them to be unloaded when the driver arrives.

I am wondering if there are guidelines of how to stack my stuff in the moving truck so that it doesn't get all messed up and I will have trouble getting it out once it arrives. Do you have literature on that?
