I am planning a move from Calif to Missouri. After i get a quote from you what happens if the load ends up weighing more than origianl quote?

THAT is a great question. Movex does not charge by the weight. We charge by the length of space that you take on the truck (all trucks are 8ft wide x 9ft high - the variable that you are charged on is the length). That being said, you can only ship household goods. If you are shipping your brick collection, Movex is not the option for you!

I recently moved and use a 16' penske truck. What size I need for movex van?

Movex provides service on trucks that are 8' wide and 9' high. This is significantly larger than a rental truck. Our suggestion would be approximately 10 to 12 feet to have the equivalent volume of space.

Our minimum shipment is 6ft of truck space. My recommendation would be to ship all of your boxes via ups. If you don't have any furniture, that will be your cheapest option.

Okay, I've estimated I need 5-6 feet of trailer space for my move. What if I realize mid-loading that it's not going to fit? Is there a possibility of using more space than I originally reserved?

If the space is available, you can buy it on moving day for the same rate per foot that you bought you other space. The one caveat is that the space might not be available, so order yourself a couple of extra feet just in case. It won't be that much money and will give you peace of mind.

Your best bet for determining size of shipment is to stage an area that would be equal to how much space you are loading on the truck and see if everything that you are shipping is going to reasonably fit. We alway suggest ordering a little extra space just to be safe.
