Question to Movexfrom kent S in CO - Thursday, February 18, 2010 |
Movex ResponseKent, We limit all shipments to 21,000#. By law, you cannot load more than 7000# over any axle on the moving van. So you should distribute your weight as evenly as possible throughout the entire moving van. Movex |
Question to Movexfrom Angie R in PA - Thursday, February 18, 2010 |
Movex ResponseAngie, You will need a full 48 foot moving van to hold all of your belongings. For storage, you would need to get 2 10x20 storage units to hold all of your goods. Movex |
Question to Movexfrom Natalie L in AR - Friday, February 12, 2010 |
Movex ResponseNatalie, The trucks are 53ft long, 8ft wide, and 9ft tall. Your pews are 15ft long. Without knowing the width and heigth of the pews or if you can stack them one on the other, I cannot give you an accurate answer to this question. With the measurements that I gave you, you should be able to block out on paper what you need. Movex |
Question to Movexfrom monique B in WA - Friday, February 05, 2010 |
Movex ResponseMonique, Please fill out our quote form on movex.com for a quote to be emailed to you. 10,000# should take up about half of one of the moving vans. Movex |
Question to Movexfrom Lowell W in ND - Friday, February 05, 2010 |
Movex ResponseLowell, We always suggest ordering an extra couple of feet. If you need more space on loading day, you can purchase it (if available) at the same per-foot rate that you paid for the rest of the space. Please note that I said "if available". Many times the trucks are completely booked. So be generous with how much space you order. Movex |
Question to Movexfrom wes G in NY - Thursday, January 28, 2010 |
Movex ResponseThat would definitely require the entire moving van. And good news, Movex is by far the most competitively-priced option for that size load. Movex |
Question to Movexfrom Scott Q in WA - Monday, December 28, 2009 |
Movex ResponseScott, Consider that the trucks are 8ft wide and 9ft high. If you figure 10x25 as 250sqft of floor space and you want the same on the truck, you should get 32ft (x8ft wide gives you 256sqft. Of course, the density that the storage facility is packed could impact the amount of space needed on the moving van. But, apples to apples, you will need approximately 32ft of truck space to have the same size. Movex |
Question to Movexfrom Jill K in MI - Saturday, December 12, 2009 |
Movex ResponseJill, You would be much better served to box the goods and ship them UPS. It will be cheaper than ordering space on a moving van. Movex |
