Moving Questions - Storage
Question to Movexfrom Christine M in CO - Tuesday, March 09, 2010 |
Movex ResponseChristine, We highly recommend NOT leaving your furniture in a trailer for an extended time. There are freight companies that provide that kind of service, but our experience is that the elements really take a toll on your furniture if it sits in a hot/cold truck for an extended period of time. Your best bet really is to get a storage facility. In the long run, it will be cheaper and safer. Movex |
Question to Movexfrom ann C in CO - Wednesday, February 24, 2010 |
Movex ResponseYes, we have a nationwide network of storage facilities that can help you. Just let your rep know when booking your order that you need to go to storage and they will help you find the right facility. |
Question to Movexfrom Chaelie C in FL - Tuesday, September 08, 2009 |
Movex ResponseChaelie, We do not bring boxes, we only use moving trucks for our service and cannot leave your goods on them for long periods of time. I would suggest putting your furniture in a ministorage while you are making arrangements. Movex |
Question to Movexfrom S G in SC - Sunday, September 06, 2009 |
Movex ResponseWe do not provide long term storage. We also highly discourage you from leaving your goods on a truck for an extended period of time due to potential damage from heat or cold. Your best option (and cheapest) would be to deliver to a self-service storage facility at youur destination. Movex |
Question to Movexfrom Scott T in WI - Wednesday, August 05, 2009 |
Movex ResponseScott, Sorry, we only provide moving services, not storage. Movex |
Question to Movexfrom steven L in NY - Monday, July 06, 2009 |
Movex ResponseSteve, Movex actually will wait while you load and then leave when you are finished. Other self-service companies and PODS leave the units for days at a time. Not only is this inconvenient, it is not secure and someone could come and steal your stuff at night. Movex |
Question to Movexfrom TOBEY H in AZ - Wednesday, July 01, 2009 |
Movex ResponseTobey, Thanks. I will make sure Adam sees this on the website. For your question, not really...At the bottom of the page you will see a list of links to different topics. Storage is one of those topics and I believe your question will be answered best there. Movex. |
Question to Movexfrom judy W in NY - Friday, June 26, 2009 |
Movex ResponseJudy, We can deliver you to a storage facility, but we do not actually have storage facilities. We recommend delivering to a storage facility. Some companies offer you storage on the truck, but we advise against this. In the summertime, leaving your furniture on a truck for a month is the equivalent of cooking it in an oven. Movex |
Question to Movexfrom Lisa Y in ME - Thursday, June 18, 2009 |
Movex ResponseLisa, Yes we will. Most storage facilities have room for moving vans to park. Make sure that you let your facility manager know that you are leaving so they can reserve a parking place for us. Movex |
Question to Movexfrom MAr L in CA - Tuesday, June 16, 2009 |
Movex ResponseMar, While it is possible to delay your shipment by a couple of days, we do not have the ablity to hold your shipment for long periods of time. We suggest renting a storage facility at destination and delivering your furniture there. With the summer heat, it is not a good idea to leave your stuff in a truck baking at 100 degrees for weeks at a time. Movex |
