> Ask A Question > Add A Comment from Andrea S. in FL - May 12, 2008 I am moving from Miami, FL to Austin, TX in July and plan to use Movex. How long should I anticipate the truck needing to get to Austin? Will the exact delivery date be known ahead of time? Andrea,
Again, you can count on a travel rate for the moving truck of 550 miles per day. So it will take about 3 days to get from Miami to Austin. Delivery date will be estimated, but is dependent on the other shipments that will be on the moving truck during transit. Your relocation specialist can help you with details at 800-876-6839.
Making Moving Easier, Movex from Shane C. in AZ - May 12, 2008 How long will it take to get from AZ to NH if I am finished packing it up on 6/30/08? Shane,
You can count on the moving truck travelling 550 miles a day. So transit time on your move will be approximately 5 to 6 days. The date of delivery will be determined by the order of other shipments no the vehicle.

Making Moving Easier, Movex from gloria M. in NY - April 25, 2008 how much from ny to ga around. how long does the trip take
Thank you Gloria,
The moving vans are going to travel approximately 500 miles a day. The amount of time that it takes for your particular shipment will depend on in which order you are loaded on the moving truck and how many stops the driver has to make between origin and destination. Again, one of our relocation specialists can narrow this down for you at 800-876-6839.

Making Moving Easier, Movex from Tom H. in TX - April 6, 2008 If there was to be a delay of a few days in the unloading of my house hold goods, what would happen? Could we arrange to leave it on the truck until we were able to deliver? How long could that be an option and what would the cost be? Thanks Brandon Brandon,
You will need to speak with one of our relocation specialists to work out delivery times. The delivery depends on the size of shipment and the distance being travelled. Please call 800-876-6839. Any one of our reps can narrow this down for you.
Making Moving Easier, Movex from Carol F. in MO - February 19, 2008 I will be moving from Coulumbia, MO 65203 to Jacksonville FL 32221 around the last week of July this year. The size of the move will be about 1500lbs, or the size of a studio. About how many days will it take to transport my items to my new location? Also, do prices differ depending on the day of the move? If so, when are they the cheapest?
-Thank you CArol,
Movex has some of the fastest moving van transportation in the industry. We can deliver your shipment in as few as 3 days. Your relocation specialist can help you narrow down the dates. It is cheaper to move in the middle of the week. Friday through Monday is a bit more expensive, but not by much.
Making Moving Easier, MOvex from Melanie E. in CA - December 23, 2007 We have a one bedroom apartment and our VW jetta to move from CA to VA . . . how long will it take - our new apartment will not be available until 1/12 and we need to be out of our old apartment by 12/30. Could you also contact me re: price. Thanks! Melanie,
Thanks for the request. One of our relocation specialists will be with you shortly to discuss moving truck options and travel time. The moving trucks generally travel 500 miles per day, but with a smaller shipment, we could share the truck with others and possibly delay your delivery.
Making Moving Easier, Movex from Kristin C. in VA - November 20, 2007 What is the minimum transit time from Sterling, VA to Escondido, CA? We are planning to drive our car out and wanted to know how much time we had to sightsee along the way. Thanks in advance. Kristin,
The fastest transit that you would get on a coast to coast move is 5 days. It could take as much as 10 if you have a smaller shipment that would be sharing the moving truck with another customer. It is probably best to call our office to speak to one of our relocation specialists. They would be able to give you a more accurate answer as to transit times.
