hi, we need about 509 cubic feet of space for our move. how big of a moving truck would we probably need?

The trucks are 8ft wide and 9ft high. So, there are 72cubic feet per linear foot. Based on this standard sized truck, you would need approximately 7 linear feet of space on the truck.

Do you provide services on weekends? For instance, I would like to load the truck in Seattle on a Saturday and receive my items in Maryland by the following Saturday. Is this possible?

We do provide service 7 days a week. You will have to have some flexibility at the destination because more than one customer goes on each truck which might accelerate/delay the shipment. The more space you take on the truck, the narrower the delivery window can be.

We have a 4+ BR home the last time we moved we filled a 50 foot United Trailer. Can you leave that big of a trailer in a residential address for long enough for us to load and what about traffic? Thanks Jack

Yes, we can bring a tractor trailer to your home. We would arrive first thing in the morning and give you all day to load (extra days are available at a minimal cost). We would set up traffic cones for traffic safety.

I am moving from Kerrville, TX to Salmon, ID. In Salmon the property is 10 miles out of town and a semi cannot get in the driveway to unload. A shuttle truck would be needed to bring the furniture in from town. Do you have a shuttle truck that could make it into the property ?

We do not shuttle service in Salmon, Idaho. We could take the truck to where the pavement ends, but you would be responsible for providing the shuttle service onto the property.

Does your company have the trailer storage option as we don't have a drop-off location/home at present and will need a secure place to keep our belongings (rather than rent a storage unit).

We highly recommend NOT leaving your furniture in a trailer for an extended time. There are freight companies that provide that kind of service, but our experience is that the elements really take a toll on your furniture if it sits in a hot/cold truck for an extended period of time. Your best bet really is to get a storage facility. In the long run, it will be cheaper and safer.

There really isn't an effective way to delay your shipment without putting it into storage. Unless you are going to be taking a very long time indeed, that really isn't a good option. It will take us about 5 days to get your goods from WA to TX.

If I am planning on driving my car on a long distance move from Chicago to Charlotte (13hrs), how much time would the truck give me to reach my destination before them? Would they be leaving right after we loaded?

Yes, they will leave right after you load. The truck will give you plenty of time to reach your destination. We might also be loading other shipments onto it, which would slow it down by a day or two.

How is my belongings secured in transit? Can I provide a lock to use while my belongings are in transportation?

Your security is our primary concern. Each customer has a private space on the truck that is seperated by wooden dividers. The driver that picks up your shipment is the driver that delivers it so there is accountability throughout the process. You can put your lock on the truck, but the driver will need a key in case of emergency.
