My husband is in the navy and we are being relocated from Florida to California. Having a hard time understanding what a dity move consists of. We need to move a small car and a few small items but we were told they will not cover shipping the vehicle. How much will it cost thru you? Thank you

We provide space on moving vans. You provide the loading and unloading. Movex will provide the truck, driver, fuel, and door to door transport for a fixed price. For military moves, we provide you with weight tickets so that you can be reimbursed for the weight moved. You will need to check with your Traffic Management Officer about shipping vehicles. We provide weights for the total shipment and cannot differentiate what is car weight and what is furniture weight on the tickets.

I am moving onto a military base, but this is not a DITY move. Will your driver be able to have all the paperwork necessary to drive the truck onto a military post and to my home, without this particular move being a DITY? I need to be sure the driver will be able to drive directly to my home on this military post before I book a move with your company.

Anyone that comes to your home will be DOT certified. You will need to leave the driver's name and information with the visitor's center at the base. You will also need to be available to check him in and lead him to your home on base. But yes, we should be able to deliver right to your home on base... even with it not being a DITY move.

We have no idea where you can get a uhaul weighed. Trucks provided through Movex get the weight tickets on certified truck scales at truck stops.
