I need to ship my car and my furniture from Chicago to Houston, can a single vendor do that or I have to look for different vendors?

You can move your car on the same moving van with your furniture, however, there is a premium associated with that. It may be cheaper (although not as easy) to find a separate car carrier to move your car.

What if I use less space than I book? Do you have an under usage credit?

If you use a self-service mover, many of them have the option of only paying for the space that you use. Full service movers normally charge by weight. Make sure that you are given a binding moving quote by whomever you use. You don't want any ugly surprises on moving day.

Is weight ever a factor in determining a price, or is it simply the linear foot of trailer used. I am thinking about renting an entire trailer, and just wondered how to determine how much the load will weigh when it is loaded?

We can legally allow up to 30,000# on an entire tractor-trailer. If you are loading household goods, it is virtually impossible to get that much weight onto a moving van. If you have any concerns about weight because you have things other than household goods to load, please call our relocation staff at 800-876-6839 and they will clarify for you.

The amount of time that you have to load depends on how much space you order on the truck. The more space you order, the longer you have to load. We allow more than ample time for your loading and unloading.

All of the moving trucks are 8ft wide and 8.5ft tall. So, when we say you are buying 10ft, you are getting 10ft x 8ft x 9ft inside the truck. The 10ft is the length measurement.
